Mariska,
48, and her husband Peter Hermann adopted both daughter Amaya Josephine
and one-year-old son Andrew Nicolas in the span of six months last
year.And she said their biological son August feels 'pretty good and pretty powerful' about his younger siblings.
She added: 'He thinks this was all his idea. He said, "I want a baby sister," and Amaya came.
'Then he said, "I want a baby brother," and Andrew came.'
But while she now has her dream cosmopolitan family, she emphasised the fact it was not an easy process.
She said: 'I’m not gonna lie, there were wrenching moments. I say to everybody, "Adoption is not for the faint of heart."'
