Cheeky little number! Rose McGowan steps out to upscale Hollywood event wearing very revealing shorts

She's been spotted leaving hardcore work-outs at the gym recently, and Rose McGowan was determined to show off the spoils of her toil when she attended an event on Thursday.
The 39-year-old sometime actress headed to West Hollywood's upscale Chateau Marmont in a pair of posterior skimming hotpants that sensibly, she paired with opaque black tights.
She also used a couple of tricks to make the shorts look more flattering.

One, she opted for all black... right down to her high-heeled boots; this gives a lengthening illusion to the legs and body.

The 5ft4 star also added a long, fringed cardigan which made the whole outfit look less tarty than it would've done had she gone for a cropped cover all.

The length of the fringing also helped elongate her whole look, and it set her relatively new platinum bob off rather nicely, too.

McGowan, who actually has some interesting roles coming up in big screen literary adaptations, was attending the Hoorsenbuhs for Forevermark Collection cocktail party

The night was to celebrate this jewellery collection, and guests got to leave with a goodie bag; and as trinkets start at around the $13,000, this must have been quite exciting.

Also along to admire the sparkle were Cougar Town star Courteney Cox, George Clooney's girlfriend Stacey Keibler, Jaime King and Ashley Benson.

McGowan is set to take her trim pins onto the sets of The Tell Tale Heart, an adaptation of Edgar Allan Poe's short story and The Bell Jar, tragic poet Sylvia Plath's only novel.
McGowan is also headed to ABC's Once Upon A Time, to play the witch young Cora - Barbara Hershey in the show.
Rose is normally a brunette, but decided to change her look in November.
