Bargains for Honey Boo Boo! The Shannons are driven to the mall by bodyguard... and head straight to Walmart and Rite Aid

The Shannons may have been catapulted to fame thanks to their seven-year-old daughter Alana, better known as Honey Boo Boo, but they haven't changed much.
Or yet, at least, because despite being driven to the mall by their bodyguard (a starry thing to do, everyone will agree) they headed straight to their favourite budget shops.

June Shannon, Boo Boo's much maligned mama, took her brood to bargain hunters paradise, Walmart, and then headed to the chemist come discount store, Rite Aid.
Honey Boo Boo, who was wearing a bright orange T-shirt, mugged for the cameras as you'd expect.

In the last episode, June explained that beauty pageants can cost thousands of dollars, from the glitzy dresses to the fake hair and teeth, and explains to her daughter that they can't really afford such luxuries.
Famous for her bargain hunting ways, June explained to her daughter how much the family have to budget.

'We’re always trying to save money,' she says.
She told her daughter that they can't afford to buy all the glitzy dresses she wants for the pageant so Alana came up with the idea of making lemonade.
'Honey Boo Boo had the idea of making a lemonade stand to save money for the pageants.
'Pageants a big investment. I raise four kids and I’m able to do pageants as I budget. Honestly, we budget and I try to save money any way I can,' said June.
The sisters attempted to sell their home-made lemonade, which contained a staggering five pounds of sugar

Known for her love of sugary drinks, June was seen on Toddlers & Tiaras feeding Alana 'Go Go Juice', a mixture of Mountain Dew and Red Bull.
And this week's episode was no different as June shared her secret sugary lemonade concoction recipe.
'The secret is a lot of sugar and a lot of lemon juice. The lemonade has got a good five pounds of sugar and like 2 gallons of lemon juice,' she said.

Since premiering on August 8, the show has attracted millions of viewers and its August 29 installment attracted nearly 3 million viewers, eclipsing every network's coverage of the Republican National Convention and Paul Ryan's speech.
Each episode follows Alana and her unapologetically outrageous family.
